June 25, 2003 : little debbie...
Um, I'll keep this short because it's two in the morning going on three.
We just got back from Luxemburg which was planned to be an "outing" as well as a business meeting for Eva. Basically little Debbie gave up the ghost today due to the fact that the distribution belt broke as I was at the top of a hill having just crossed one of the most picturesque European driving settings imaginable. No really, it was a little two-laned, tree-lined road with very un-American homes lingering in the distance.
So Little Debbie (we have a song we wrote about her) Kleine Debbie, je bent de eene...je maakt rijden zo luik, kleine debbie, je bent de auto voor ons.... is sitting outside of a Nissan garage waiting to get a new motor (only if the price is right) and I'm driving a 20 year old loaner Opel Kadet from Eva's mother's boyfriend.
Is life bizarre or what?!?
So, send positive thoughts in the direction of both Belgium and Luxemburg tomorrow/today. I'll try to explain it in further detail tomorrow.
If anyone is curious as to how Eva and I are handling the motor issue, well it's funny really, we've taken it rather well. In fact, I daresay we took it really well...and add it to the knots in the cord of love that make us both stronger and more stable as a couple. We turned our days events into a mini vacation in spite of it all.
Feel free to ask me about the fact that we started out the morning with no running water in our apartment. (not our fault) That's a funny story too.
IN THE NEWS:
A former Iraqi nuclear scientist has provided American authorities parts and documents from Saddam Hussein's nuclear weapons program from over 12 years ago, a U.S. intelligence official said Wednesday. The scientist, Mahdi Shukur Obeidi, said he had kept the parts buried in his garden at his Baghdad home on the orders of Saddam's government, according to the intelligence official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Wow. The concept of burying documents in a garden is a project waiting to happen, no? See what transmedia has done to me?!?
