A wind sock.

17.07.09 |

I am a wind sock.
Attached to a rock, a pole, a pivot point.
Held there with wire, fishing line, chain or bits of string;
Easily showing which way the wind is blowing.
(or if it is blowing at all)
Without the steadfast,
something deeply driven, a cemented footing,
I am more like a plastic bag.
Full of promise or disappointment.
